Just catching up

Regan & Rylan in Robin's new tub. It was fun at first, then there got to be too many bubbles for Rylan. She didn't like them growing higher and higher. Landon just chillin at Mamaw's house and hanging out with Papaw. Landon is 5 weeks in this picture.

Now we have seven

Is this a crew or what? Madison will be 7 in Nov., Annabell was 1 in April, Reagan will be 8 in Nov. Shelby was 11 in March, Landon is 2 wks. Hana and Rylan are both 5. We are very proud of all of them. This was taken at Dana's house during Hana's 5th birthday party.

First Grandson

Landon Matthew Dickens was born Aug. 13th at 8:50 P.M. 8lbs 9 oz and 21" long. Not sure where the size comes from but he is beautiful and we are keeping him. Looks like he is sticking his tongue out at his Dad. Mom was still in recovery when the picture was taken but we will post more after our visit this evening.

Back to Work

Our first day back to work was Aug. 3rd. It was not a good day. A very good friend passed away today in his office. There were only three of us here with him. It takes a special person to be in the life saving profession. I am not one of them. It was the longest 15 minutes of my life.

No new pictures. We have been busy working on Robin's new house. She is very close to moving in. The pictures that we have been taking are of the little things. Staining cabinets, crown moulding, closet doors, and base boards. Kind of boring to most but, monumental to us.

Galveston Vacation

We spent 5 days at a beach house in Galveston. It was wonderful. We went to the Rainforest Cafe for Robin 's 30th birthday. Here are a few pictures.

Rylan's 5th Birthday

Since Rylan was a butterfly in her K4 program she wants everything to be butterflies. Her party theme was butterflies. Aunt Crystal made the cake. Rylan got out of the pool long enough to blow out the candle and open her presents. She had a lot of fun with her friends and family. The last picture is Reagan and Shelby getting ready for the party. Actually they are waiting to get in the pool.

Rylan had her year end program last night. She graduated from K-4 with a 100 average. She did very well. She didn't want anyone going to her program except Reagan. Robin dropped them both off and left. She came back a few minutes later and we hid on the back row until the lights went down for the program. She never knew we were there until it was over. She did wave at Reagan during the program. It was really cute. Reagan still has one more week before she is out.

Shelby's Awards

Shelby started a new school this year. This is the first time for her to attend Public School. She has adjusted very well. She received two awards. The first was "Perfect Attendance" and the second was the "Citizenship" award. We are very proud of her.

Spring Festival

Reagan & Rylan's school held there Spring Festival on Sunday. Here are a couple of pictures. Rylan's class' theme was "Astros". Madison climbed to the top of the rock wall (gravity helped her a lot). She is so small that the bungee cord pulled her up as she climbed. She also rode the mechanical bull. They all had lots of fun.

Easter 2009

This years Easter was a little cloudy. Not just the weather. Thursday morning Crystal called with bad news. Walter had died in his sleep. Needless to say, Thursday and Friday were a little hectic. Due to the weather forecast and Walter's viewing, we had our Easter Egg hunt on Saturday. Reagan, Rylan, Shelby, Hana, Annabell and Rylee all hunted eggs. Dylan showed up at the very end but I don't think he minded missing the hunt. We still had a very good Easter. Here are a few of the pictures.

Annabell turns 1

Annabell turned one on April 5th. All of her cousins and her older sister helped her celebrate. She loved the cake but it was too cold for her to enjoy the water slide. The other kids got lots of fun out of it.

FFA Parade

We participated in the annual FFA Parade today. The theme this year was "Survival" . Robin and I have been so busy we didn't have time to really prepare for this parade. We went with "Summer Survival". The girls really enjoyed it. Shelby had to get fitted for her glasses today and Dana had to work, so Annabelle and Hana couldn't be her either. We got 1st place. Yea!!!

Bicycle Fun

Rylan learned to ride her bicycle without training wheels. She was so excited. We spent all of Sunday afternoon letting her ride. Reagan is an old pro on hers now.

Crawfish 2009

Saturday March 21st we held our 8th Annual Crawfish Boil. This was the biggest yet. Randy cooked 12 sacks (over 400 lbs) of Crawfish and Danny cooked 4 briskets, 2 hams, 2 pork loins, & 1 goat. We had nothing left over. We think there was about 200 people at our house. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great. Dana took over 100 pictures and still didn't get everyone. Some came a little late and she had already put the camera up. All of my kids and all of my grandkids were at the same place and the same time and I still didn't get a picture of all of them together. We started at 6:00 Am and ended after midnight. It was a lot of work but well worth it. Here are a few of the pictures.

Spring is getting closer. Reagan & Rylan both got new haircuts. The weather has been so good lately we saddled up the horse and let the girls ride. Rylan would ride all day if we would let her. .

We went to Houma, LA this weekend for the Mardi Gras parade. Randy was one of the Dukes of the parade. The girls were so excited. The theme of this year's parade was "Children's childhood movies". Each float was decorated as a different movie. Randy's was "A Bugs Life". The parade was Friday night and Saturday we went out to eat at Outback for Valentine's Day. The rain kept us from seeing the parade on Saturday. The weekend was a lot of fun. Here are a couple of pictures. They really don't show how much fun we really had.

Halloween picture 2008

This is going backwards a little but it was two really good pictures. We always enter the girls in the Costume contest at CHS. This year we took one 1st place, 2 2nd place and 1 third place.

Weedend Fun

The weather was great this weekend. Reagan and Rylan really took advantage of it. They played outside most of the weekend. Danny is taking his time spreading the dirt, that way the kids can play in it longer.
